Ok, i was going to purchase an o/r x or h tomorrow ... but i keep hearing different things on them ... i do not have a programmer at the moment and have heard that if i put on o/r on it will mess up my torque and gas mileage REALLY bad with out a programmer... but then i've also heard it will just turn on my check engine light and thats all ... i want the noise but not if i'm going to lose power ... whats the truths in this area and what is just talk ?!?! please help !! thanks
You shouldnt lose any power/torque with this, but i have heard a story or 2 about backpressure and lossing hp. Most people should gain a little something, but with a tune ya can get more out of it. Your check engine light will come on and ya will need mill eliminators to keep it from staying on all the time.

No nothing will go wrong without them, the only thing will be the check engine light will always be on unless you get a hand held tuner and turn it off daily. If ya drive it easy you might actualy gain just a tad, but driving it hard it wont hurt your gas mileage at all really. Never heard about spark plugs burning up from o/r x pipe.

You might feel a slight loss down low with an o/r X but it makes up for it in the mid to high range. I found that my car pulls better thru mid and high range. As far as the CEL goes, a tuner will take care of it. You shouldn't lose any mpg really. Just get a tuner, it'll be the best choice and save you trouble later down the road when you do some more serious mods.

Yeah, you should be fine. You'll see your CEL light come on in a little bit after the install but no biggie. Just be sure to save and get that SCT tuner
